  • Brigham Young University is the nation's largest private university.  Available activities include sporting events, plays, music and dance performances, and several museums.  Or enroll in a seminar or continuing education class for a weekend, a week or a semester.

 

  • Sundance Ski and Summer Resort is Robert Redford's year-round resort just minutes away up Provo Canyon.  Home of the Sundance Film Festival, this resort offers great skiing and snowboarding in the winter; and mountain biking, hiking or nature walking in the spring, summer and fall.  The Sundance Summer Theater is a great place to take in a play under the stars.

 

  • The Heber Creeper is one of the nation's last operating steam locomotives.  Take a ride through breathtaking Provo canyon and enjoy a piece of the Old West's history.

 

  • The Provo River is a blue-ribbon trout stream -- a fly fisherman's dream!

 

  • Utah Lake, Deer Creek Reservoir and Jordanelle Reservoir all offer fishing, boating and water sports opportunities.  Utah Lake has three marinas, while Deer Creek and Jordanelle Reservoirs have one each.

 

  • Mount Timpanogos, Cascade Mountain and Mount Nebo offer easily accessible mountain forests and wilderness areas for outdoor enthusiasts.  There are also hundreds of miles of exquisite scenic back roads, both paved and unpaved, for the adventurous four-wheeler or the Sunday driver.  Great hiking trails are everywhere, and there are lots of trails also available for mountain biking, riding motorcycles or ATVs, and horseback riding.  In the wintertime the deep light powder offers unparalleled backcountry skiing, snowmobiling and helicopter skiing opportunities.

 

  • Golfing opportunities abound.  There are numerous public courses within 15 minutes of East Bay RV Park; the two closest are the Hobble Creek Canyon course in Springville and the East Bay course in Provo.

 

  • Thanksgiving Point contains extensive botanical gardens, an IMAX theatre and the Museum of Ancient Life, which houses some of the longest and tallest dinosaurs ever discovered.  It also contains an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Johnny Miller.

 

  • Historic Park City is just 45 minutes away up breathtaking Provo Canyon.  Enjoy world-class dining, shopping, museums and art festivals in this mining town turned ski resort.  Park City and neighboring Deer Valley hosted many of the 2002 Winter Olympic events.  Winter or summer, adventurous souls can even book a run down the Olympic bobsled track!

 

  • Salt Lake City is just 45 minutes away on I-15.  Visit historical Temple Square and listen to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.  Explore Brigham Young's Lion House and learn the story of one of the greatest mass migrations in history.  Or stop by and visit the monkeys at Hogle Zoo.
